A heads-up about Polymarket feesOn July 10, Polymarket raised the rate used in its sports fee formula from 3% to 5%. On July 12, we began testing a separate 1% trading fee. Because Polymarket limits builder-fee changes to once every seven days, we cannot switch it off easily.Because Orb uses market orders, both fees apply on fee-enabled sports markets. Polymarket’s fee changes with the execution price, so it is not a flat 5%
of the amount you spend.For example, if you spend $50 on a buy that fills entirely at $0.50:- Polymarket fee: $1.25
- Our fee: $0.50
- Total fees deducted from your $50: $1.75We haven’t shown this clearly enough in the app. That’s on us.We’re updating the trade flow to show the estimated Polymarket fee, our fee, and expected return before you confirm. We don’t expect this update to be ready before the World Cup ends, which is why we wanted to communicate this clearly now.You should always know the fees and expected return before placing a trade.
