Where does your record’s sound come from? 🎧
Before a vinyl goes to pressing, the music has to be physically cut into a master. That’s where the way your record will sound takes shape. That’s me @0xmrvinyl in the photo, next to a Neumann VMS82 at the RAND Muzik cutting studio in Germany. This is where the masters for Polvinyl records are made. It’s a DMM machine (Direct Metal Mastering), which means cutting straight into copper. RAND is one of the few cutting studios in the world that owns this equipment. What does it give you?
▪️ fewer clicks and noise coming from the process itself,
▪️ great results on quiet music,
▪️ stability on longer side lengths.RAND also offers classic lacquer cutting (Neumann VMS70 with an SX74 head and a custom Pitch13 feed system), so we choose the technology to fit the music, not the other way around.📍 RAND has already cut over 30 titles for me on this machine. They’ve been doing this for almost 30 years.
📍 I’ve been pressing vinyl since 2013, in Poland, the UK and Germany.
📍 For almost 20 years I’ve been working in vinyl distribution and sales, so I know how to prepare a release that’s attractive in both price and look for your fans.RAND’s experience on one side, mine on the other. We know how it’s done.
Polvinyl is the official RAND partner in Poland. That means your record goes to people who know exactly what they’re doing.Want to release your music on vinyl? Write to us: office@polvinyl.com
