is opus 5 good?

update.things are back to normal. here’s a breakdown.what happened
1. Liquidity was being removed in several steps by the original liquidity provider.
2. GHO - USDC price started drifting away from the range where most liquidity was provided. how we solved this
1. we’ve added liquidy and rebalanced the main WGHO-USDC uni v3 pool which is the most important pool in the chain.
2. we also added the UI for the canonical bridges to make things work easy. 1 GHO on lens chain equals 1 GHO on ethereum, same goes to ETH and USDC through the canonical bridge.
3. we’re monitoring the critical pools moving forward to make sure liquidity is used effectively
4. both lifi and across are working again
5. ran internal audit on security and risks re liquidity on lens. didn’t find anything concerning. also the canonical bridges were earlier audited by openzeppelin.
6. built an easy ui to add and manage liquidity on lens uni v3 pools. keeping it internal now but lmk if interestonwards. big things coming. happy to try to answer any questions.
UI for the canonical bridge is live now. we’re still working on returning the liquidity. Expecting this to be done later today or tomorrow. https://lens.xyz/bridgehow this works
1. initiate withdraw tx on lens
2. wait until ethereum sees the block (~5h)
3. finalize the withdraw on ethereum (another tx)
4. convert LGHO to GHO on ethereum (unwrap tx)notes
1. store the withdraw tx. UI might not see it
2. you need gas on ethereum
3. not recommended for small amounts (gas fees)
4. normal swaps / bridges will return and work asap
5. dm or tag me if any questions

what we can do right nowevery post is public. it's onchain, anyone can read it. so there is no way to enforce "only show this here" today. anything else is overselling it, or trusting other clients to agree, which is not a guarantee. it needs encryption to be real, and i'll leave that there for now.actions are the more interesting part. who can comment, quote, react, collect. comment/quote is easy to add. collect and other actions need work, rn the lens collect action doesn't support it but it could be rebuilt but it should be even more rethought to work in similar fashion like the repost, comment and quote. reactions are easiest since they are still offchain but we want to move them onchain one day.what i thinkusers should decide who, what, why. no question.but it has to survive the walkaway test. what happens to your content if that app goes away? if the answer is "it stops working" we built a trap, not a control.and it shouldn't mean every app is gonna build its own gate. an inclusion list where any client meeting the bar gets in keeps this open, gating to named apps is just a walled garden with extra steps. what should that inclusion criteria be?concept is interesting. just needs a proper thinking through. it's always so easy to end up with fragmentation nobody asked for like we see right now.fragmentation is the last thing we need. what's the point of building onchain if we just end up with silos again. rule-based decentralized social is still so untapped. that being said it still is interesting.
Should Lens users should have the right to choose if they want their content to appear on one or multiple clients?

Please wait for the official bridge. The current one on lens.xyz/bridge uses Across. The new version supports both Across and the canonical bridge. The team is reviewing the PR now, and once it’s live you’ll find it at lens.xyz/bridge.also the team is working to get pools fully liquid and back to normalwe’ll post a proper update when live

@datartist I was wrong it's still in WGHO indeed even though the entire tx went through.
is the canonical bridge broken?

we’re on it. what happened: the main liquidity provider for WGHO-USDC pool started withdrawing funds last week.what we’re doing rn:1. adding liquidity to the pool to bring back functionality
2. adding support for canonical bridges to the lens website as well as in apps. Funds are backed 1:1 but withdrawing can take up to 5 hoursthese both should be completed within the next few hours. we’ll post an update once they’re done.
I'm not sure, but this seems like another reason to dump this stupid niche GHO for USDC.
