Good morning, ORB! I’ve finally been able to upload the first single from my band, “Apollinaire.” The song, titled “Flores Desquiciadas,” was produced by Jean De Oliveira, the frontman and vocalist of the Venezuelan cult alternative metal band CANDY66, and recorded at MADRES STUDIOS here in Venezuela. Sound engineer Daniel Arrieche handled the mastering and recording. It’s a production I’m very proud of and happy to have been a part of. I wrote the song, but without my friends Juan Changir, Dagny Castillo, and Javier Boraure (the other band members), it wouldn’t have been possible. We’re currently still working on other projects related to the band. So if you collect this song, you’re directly helping us fund our trip to Bogotá later this year, where we’ll be playing a show there. Thanks to all of you, dear friends. Note: If you don’t collect this song, you can listen to it and give me your opinion about it; I’ll be sharing the lyrics translated into English today or tomorrow!
It is a story about a romantic misunderstanding. An encounter between two lonely souls.
What happens when the earth moves? There’s a reality we as human beings don’t like to admit, and that is that we’re just as fragile as any other insect in the face of Mother Nature’s power. Yesterday there was an earthquake in my country; in the capital and other states, there have been many building collapses and deaths, and that’s sad, but at the end of the day, we have to admit that we’re alive today, but tomorrow is anyone’s guess—just like the Pixies song says, “Whatever will be, will be.” All those beautiful landscapes—the mountains, valleys, and everything else—are the result of tectonic movements that have shaped the planet we inhabit. Today’s beauty was yesterday’s chaos; to be alive is to experience it all. We need to realize that. I wish you all a beautiful day.
Yesterday I had a wonderful day with my family. We celebrated Father's Day in Cubiro, a mountain village far from the city. The weather was lovely yesterday; we ate, drank, and spent time together. There's nothing in the world more precious than time spent with the people you love. Gm, friends! ☀️
Canelo: A Song for My DogWhen my mother died, it was a huge blow to everyone at home. My dad bore the brunt of it in the end; he was the one who would carry the heaviest burden of loneliness. Time passed, and we were given a Golden Retriever whom we named "Canelo." This dog quickly became like another son to my father; it was so rewarding to see my dad smile again, and Canelo accompanied him everywhere. Sadly, Canelo got sick, and like everything under the sun, he left us too; he had an illness we couldn’t cure. Another blow for my dad and for all of us. I cried like a child again, but I wrote this song for him, in gratitude for his love and his unconditional devotion. I dedicate this to everyone who has lost a pet or a special loved one. 🤍
Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you’re having a great Sunday; we’re just relaxing here. Next week is shaping up to be a busy one. 🙌🏼
Good afternoon, friends. I’m sending you my warmest regards and heartfelt thanks. I’ve been working and keeping busy, but I’ve always been thinking about how to stay true to my nature as a musician and keep creating.I hope you have a wonderful afternoon 💙
