Anyway @trustmebro did a show recently abou how Lens had turned awful. They listed every single grievance I’ve had since Chain migration. Do I thought I’d post why I’ll never trust a project with any of the Lens teams ever again. They took the best part of Web3, promised more than they could manage, and mostly fuckdd off as the chain migration led to an exodus. @fountain dev and @0xjavi being the only decent devs left.

tje full story should be on fountain shortly. Lens devs turned one of the single best Onchain social protocols, and promised so much more! But after Lens Chain launched, they just vanished. Now, when other big time devs look at their resume. Now will just say “that’s not happening here!” Reputation without blemish are now rusty and behind toilets.

I’ve literally showered this place with praise for years. The past 5mo, the amount of extra work spent doing ridiculous shit to make the developers life’s easier has been ridiculous. I’m out of patience, as the entirety of the Lens chain has been a wash. It’ll be a dark mark on @stani ‘s portfolio. So, unless the devs would like to refund me the $10 fee for a club, the $5 for a lens handle, the tips I’ve never seen, the $15-20 wasted on sticker. I am not interested. Theft is way too large a problem in the crypto space. And 99% of the time, its devs who rip off users. I used to respect these teams @0xjavi , @kualta , and @potential are the only accounts that I feel are still deserving of my attention. November of last year, Lens clients started going belly up. The entire protocol isn’t far behind. I can be reached at with jlhasa.eth
I will not be returning. Enjoy you constantly broken system. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE.
I WILL NEVER SEE IT.
I LIVE IN POVERTY. I DO NOT HAVE 5 hours a week to fix shit that devs should have fixed a long time ago. My reporting just wasn’t enough. It took many more
Users bitching to actually get the unlisted devs and whatever to return with hostility and after hearing the problem. Ghosting me for weeks. I’m looking at you @kipto. Uninstalling now. I will be closing my account later this evening.
And what did I get for 2 years on Lens? Right at $50, including all stickers and the club. Peace.
Solidarity broken.

The cherry on top?A notification system that has not once in 2 years functioned properly.

Can’t withdraw funds again. This error has been fixed twice already. It comes back every weekend.

There’s basically nothing here that isn’t an enormous pain in the ass anymore. Peak time to use Lens was March 2024 until October 2024. Since then, no matter what is done, the experience has degraded so much it doesn’t matter.

Oh. And I’m locked out of moving things in my wallet, again, after this being fixed twice already. The problem just keeps coming bsck

Before the chain migration, I constantly told people how much I loved Lens. I brought new users. I spent tons on tips and mints. My discussions with staff helped lead them to informed decisions.
Since the migration, Lens has failed. It can’t do 75% of what it could do before. Notifications are different on every client. Withdrawing funds and tipping have new problems constantly.
Now, despite so many more pressing problems, like restoring all functionality from before migration, they are trying to get rid of $bonsai completely, and want to charge for a “humanity check.”
@orb @lens @kipto @potential @stani you guys are all pissing away all of the goodwill that you earned in 2024. Fix all issues before focusing on new features. This is not a hard concept, and it should be exactly how how all software devs work. Then there’s all the money lost on things like clubs and stickers which are now absolutely worthless.
