A little update on my Linux experiments. I figured out how to replicate my Karabiner Elements setup (caps lock + hjkl = vim navigation), on Linux. So here’s a little blog post about everything between my last post and this one. https://thumbsup.me/posts/vim-everywhere-on-linux/

I used to hate April Fool’s Day. In retrospect I see it as a sort of media literacy test for the pre-AI era. If one couldn’t muster a bit of skepticism about an absurd-seeming claim on a day that we’ve been explicitly told is for farce and trickery, how in the hell are we supposed to survive real-time AI deepfakes?
I like that Orb wants to do something fresh but the design is so Gen Alpha maximalist revisionist-nostalgic 2004 Japanese vending machine sticker pack. And the fact that dark mode uses bright white cards for the posts is the cherry on the top of my “nah fuck that” cake
Zora turned to shit when they pivoted to coins. Now they’ve gone all in on the endless slop future: pivoting to Solana.
Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian Territories, has been excluded from the global financial system for no other reason than that she shone light on Israel’s genocide. Where are the crypto people speaking up about this?

Whoever is in charge of @orb nowadays can you please add a true dark mode option where the cards are dark instead of white. I can’t open this app at night.
I’ve been using this great app called Pocket for the past little while to manage my Seerr requests for my home servers. And I only recently realized it’s made by @m1guelpf
Pretty cool project. They take Public Domain books and produce high quality ebooks to share for free.

Just downloaded all my audiobooks from Audible, converted them to M4B files, and moved them to my home server. Now they're available on Audiobookshelf. Was easy enough to do with the help of the free and open-source app Libationgetlibation.com
