While I am mainly active in the digital realm, I spend my free time reading many books. For the most part, nonfiction works.
This week, I finished a book that I was truly sad to finish as it kept providing various highlights to me whenever I picked it up:
"Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar" by Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein.This book is incredible as it takes a very vast field, like philosophy, and explains its different subcategories by utilizing jokes. It's definitely a highlight in my book collection! Many jokes in the book appealed to me, but the following one in the context of the philosophy of mathematics stood out to me most:"A Western anthropologist is told by a Voohooni that 2+2=5. The anthropologist ask him how he knows this. The tribesman says, "By counting, of course. First I tie two knots in a cord. Then I tie two knots in another one. When I join the two cords together, I have five knots.""I believe this to be such a relevant joke because it relates to how we often perceive our designed and constructed realities to be the only true ones when, in fact, that in itself is untrue. I am in Germany right now, and the weather is sooooo sad ... well it's November, and this is when the sad weather starts. I miss the jungle and the chaos of Lima City.
While @KALAU_XYZ and I had some very clear guidelines for working on the AR jewellery collections we enjoyed a good amount of freedom as well. The Full Bloom collection gave us some freedom in designing various styles and also the textures.
