As I see some people around are still extremely bullish on the updates coming. I don't get it coz I think the core issue has still not been recognized. Until this happens, any development and update (including the next big one) will only go into the void and to about 20 users, and won't veer us off the path of oblivion and eventually a shutdown.
Lens/Orb ecosystem doesn't have a dev issue that the next added feature will fix. The ecosystem has a marketing and product management issue that a handful of devs won't be able to patch up, simply because it's not their job.
Lens ecosystem has never been this far from its peak state.* We don't have a core narrative we're building around* Apps are adding random features just to stay somewhat relevant, but this is mostly just throwing darts blindfolded at a board* Both the chain and the protocol are still completely centralized* We are completely isolated from the outside world, 3rd party bridges are dead* Communication is non-existent, we get a few hints in comments that something is being cooked, but if this isn't tied to a marketing campaign, it will have zero impact by the time it launches* The roadmap we requested at the beginning of the year was dodged and brushed off in a few comment-based chaotic brainstormings* Outsiders already think that we are dead* Nobody uses the existing features. What was the biggest fundraising? $100? Most don't get past $1-5.* There are no new apps or ideas in the ecosystem. Outsiders don't want to build here* There is no sustainable revenue model at the chain, protocol, or app level, nor for creators* My personal belongings are literally worth more than the entire TVL of the chain. We don't even try to bring in liquidity and interest* Old collectibles are lost forever* Usual app and protocol/chain-level issuesAnd the list is far from complete. The team is still throwing darts at the board, missing with every shot, and hoping that out of nowhere there will be a bullseye or some external factor will pick us up. This is not going to happen.
It looks like everything depends on who much cash have left in Suji's pocket to keep us alive. And this potential single point of faliure is frightening.

I'm really proud I dropped this banger just an hour before everyone came back for their Nym sub, so my Lens FUD was the first post they saw on the timeline.I'm sorry.

You spelled it right. One last thing, making promises and not following through can erode trust. Set a timeline for shipping and stick to it.

Lol, I haven’t really paid much attention to the privacy feature Lens just dropped either. And I agree with your points. Adding new features doesn’t really mean much when you only have 20 users left
