CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS
Last updated October 26, 2026
These standards apply to Orb, the social app published by Orb Technology, Inc. (Orb, we, us, or our) on Google Play and the App Store, and to every Orb service, including posts, profiles, clubs, chats, and Jams.
OUR STANCE
Orb has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Content or behavior that sexually exploits or endangers children is prohibited everywhere on Orb, with no exceptions.
WHAT IS PROHIBITED
You may not use Orb to:
- Create, upload, share, request, or link to CSAM, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated imagery that sexualizes minors.
- Groom a minor, or contact a minor for any sexual purpose.
- Sexualize minors in text, images, video, comments, or messages.
- Sextort or threaten a minor, or solicit sexual images from a minor.
- Traffic, advertise, or sell minors for any purpose.
- Promote, normalize, or help anyone carry out any of the above.
Orb is for adults. Under our Terms of Use, you must not be a minor where you live to use Orb.
HOW TO REPORT
You can report a concern from inside the app, without leaving Orb:
- Posts: open the post’s options menu and tap Report.
- Profiles: open the profile’s options menu and tap Report.
- Chats and Jams: open the chat or Jam settings and tap Report.
You can also email us at childsafety@orb.club. Please do not attach or forward abusive images. A link to the post or profile, or the username, is enough.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
WHAT WE DO
- We review child safety reports before other reports.
- We remove CSAE content from Orb as soon as we confirm it.
- We permanently ban accounts that share CSAM or exploit children.
- We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
- We preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement.
Orb is built on Lens, an open social protocol. When CSAE content is posted through Orb, we also report it to Lens so it can be acted on beyond Orb.
COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW
Orb complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including the obligation to report CSAM to NCMEC and to the relevant regional and national authorities.
CHILD SAFETY CONTACT
Our designated child safety point of contact can answer questions about how we prevent and handle CSAE, and works with app stores, partners, and law enforcement. Reach them at childsafety@orb.club with “Child safety” in the subject line.
