The Genesis BlockThe basement was quiet, the only sound the hum of the computer humming with anticipation. Satoshi sat at his desk, fingers poised over the keyboard. The moment was finally here—the culmination of years of research and coding. With a deep breath, he initiated the Bitcoin Protocol, unleashing a digital revolution that would change the world forever. As the first block of the chain was forged, Satoshi couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The Genesis Block was more than just code; it was a symbol of freedom and innovation. He watched as the transaction data began to spread, an unbreakable chain of trust and transparency. The future of finance was here, and it was in his hands. Satoshi leaned back in his chair, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. The world wouldn't know his name, but his legacy would be etched in the digital fabric of time. The Bitcoin Protocol was live, and with it, a new era of decentralized power had begun. In the darkness of the basement, a beacon of financial liberation was born, ready to shine its light on the world. What happens next?

GplumeWhen the market is bleeding like it is now, crypto holders typically rotate into stables, and ideally park those stables into some defi protocols to earn yield. However, crypto native yields by themselves are often unreliable and unsustainable (e.g. incentives that dry up, or returns that go from 100% today to 10% tomorrow). To see how RWA solves this problem, here are a couple @plumenetwork ecosystem partners on-chaining yield that's backed by real, sustainable economic activity.@SurancePlus provides tokenized reinsurance securities. Reinsurance is essentially insurance for insurance companies, against catastrophic disasters that could potentially bankrupt them. Reinsurance investments are attractive because they offer high returns coupled with low correlation to the overall market.Through this partnership, Plume users will gain access to SurancePlus' 2025-2026 tokens:
-EtaCat Re (high yield, targeting 42% ROI)
-ZetaCat Re (balanced yield, targeting 20% ROI)A bit of research reveals that SurancePlus' initial tokenized reinsurance offering back 2023 achieved an impressive ROI of over 49%, surpassing its target of 42%.@FractItLabs offers fractionalized ownership of real estate, allowing holders to earn a share of the income (e.g. rent) from those properties. They are now bringing fractionalized ownership of car rental fleets to plume. Car rental is a multi billion dollar industry providing consistent returns, which is otherwise available only to large scale investors. Both of these exemplify some of the advantages of RWAs, namely:
-Increased accessibility and lower barriers to entry (e.g. Fractit's minimum investment is only $100)
-Reliable yield even in poor crypto markets
-High liquidity, as easy as trading crypto native tokens

A few days ago, Blackrock CEO Larry Fink released his annual letter to investors. In it, he talked about how tokenization of real world assets democratizes investing, writing"Every stock, every bond, every fund-- every asset-- can be tokenized. If they are, it will revolutionize investing."He goes on to write"...I expect tokenized funds will become as familiar to investors as ETFs -- provided we crack one critical problem: *identity verification*"This underscores the significance of the recent @Moca_Network x @plumenetwork partnership, which is thatA) Many actions you'd want to take in RWA require identity -- for KYC laws, AML compliance, credit checks, etc...B) Moca Network solves some of current issues with web3 identity (especially fragmentation and privacy). As a reminder, Moca Network is building a universal account system for web3 and is already behind the accounts of some major platforms (Sony's @soneium blockchain being the latest addition). Thanks to this partnership, Moca's AIR account creation kit will be integrated with Plume as well, streamlining things for both ecosystem projects and end users. From the user side, universal accounts on Plume have the potential to make the the experience very "crypto transparent". People with existing accounts on other platforms integrating Moca Network can use those same credentials to log into an app, where they are provided with a built-in gasless, signless wallet. Their interaction with Plume can be as simple and easy to understand as a savings account: They simply deposit fiat, buy assets, and earn yield.Projects meanwhile tap into an existing user base of 700+ million Moca Network based accounts. Universal accounts mean projects can query users' existing ID credentials instead of asking them to reverify on a per-app basis. And since these accounts incorporate a "reputation" system as well, projects can use this to better target and reward high value users.RWA = PlumeBtw: This week is officially Moca Goon Week, in celebration of this pivotal partnership https://x.com/Moca_Network/status/1907334358417215602… https://x.com/plumenetwork/status/1907327155853578489

Gplume, I dropped in on today's Plume Room with @blockchainphyn and @chriseyin. Chris' enthusiasm is infectious and has gotten me even more excited about the future of Plume and RWA in general.Chris spent a lot of the space talking about the end user functionality. His thesis is basically this:Tech should adapt to new forms and take advantage of their unique opportunities.E.g. Email was the dominant form of digital communication when people mostly used desktops. But when cell phones arrived, sms better exploited their informal and realtime nature.Plume's philosophy for bringing real assets on chain is similar:Bring the real world on chain. But don't simply replicate what can be done in the real world (although Plume can do this), but leverage the unique advantages of crypto. What are some of these advantages? They include ease of use, accessibility, and low barriers to entry, high liquidity of assets, and defi composibility. Chris points out that tokenized US bills (USDT) is a great example of this.Phil and Chris ran through some examples of things you could do with tokenized RWAs vs their real world counterparts. It was off the cuff, so not sure if these are all viable use cases, but they talked about:-Earn money from a house while living in it. E.g. sell fractionalized parts, or stake them for yield-Use tokenized Tesla stock into defi protocols to earn more Tesla. (Plume is partnered with @BackedFi who are bringing stocks and etfs on chain)-Long a Pokemon card with 20x leverageOne final interesting thing Chris pointed out: Users are already trying to trade the real world when, for example, they buy/sell memecoins (which are often proxies for real world events). Or in Chris' own example, users trading Worldcoin as a proxy for Sam Altman's reputation. In other words, crypto is hungry for RWA.And RWA = Plume

Gplume,Ahead of Plume mainnet (soon), @plumenetwork continues its series of top tier partnership announcements. Here are three big ones you may have missed:1. @0G_labs are building the first decentralized "AI operating system", consisting of an L1 with an ultra high throughput consensus layer (up to 50GB/s), infinitely scalable data availability layer (50,000x faster, 100x cheaper than Celestia), and an efficient decentralized storage network (80% cheaper than AWS). The plume x 0G partnership will be developing "RWAI" agents capable of things like vault management, conducting market research and delivering reports, and automating rwa tokenization.2. @cicada_mm are helping fuel Plume ecosystem growth by launching a joint accelerator program for RWA builders. Approved projects can receive $50k-$100k in funding and access to Cicada's expert market making and liquidity management.3. @BitlayerLabs has developed the first Bitcoin layer 2 solution based on BitVM. Through their partnership with Plume, their BitVM bridge will allow seamless integration of native Bitcoin into Plume's ecosystem, enabling a vast amount of currently idle liquidity to potentially flow into RWAfi
