There are many lessons in Romero’s latest announcement. I will reflect on these in shorter posts.
The worst thing a competitor app could do right now is present itself to users as the complete opposite of Farcaster. The reality is that Farcaster’s decision makes sense from a market perspective. Most people are here to trade and speculate. By denying this fact and going against the tide, one can attract only the user base of a niche within a niche within a niche.
A multichain wallet in an app that is also used for financial transactions (tips, collects, mints, etc.) is still the bare minimum.
And miniapps are still a thing. Implementing these is not a sin.
